ATPAM President Emeritus, Merle Debuskey, received the Off-Broadway Alliance “Off-Broadway Legend” Award at the sixth annual Off-Broadway Alliance Awards this week along with actresses Linda Lavin and Lois Smith and Robert Moss, the founder of Playwright’s Horizons. Merle is credited with organizing Off-Broadway. He helped shape the Public Theater with Joseph Papp, the Circle in the Square and Lincoln Center Theaters and represented over 400 productions on and Off-Broadway as Press Agent.
