It is with sadness ATPAM announces the death on November 8, 2018 of Gold Card Manager Member William Craver in Austin, Texas. Brother Craver was 87 years old and had been a member of ATPAM since 1963.
Born in Texarkana, Bill received both a BA in Drama and a Master’s Degree in Directing at UT Austin. He served in the US Army in California and in Okinawa.

Bill moved to New York City in 1956. He was the Company Manager on some of Neil Simon’s biggest Broadway hits: Barefoot in the Park, The Odd Couple, The Star-Spangled Girl and Plaza Suite. He was also the Company Manager of Harold and There’s A Girl in My Soup. Bill also produced The Wager Off-Broadway.
Following his career in management, Bill worked as a theatrical and literary agent. Among his clients were Pulitzer Prize and Tony Winners Robert Schenkkan (The Kentucky Cycle), David Auburn (Proof) and Jonathan Larson (RENT).
He was awarded a Tony Award in 2013 for Excellence in the Theatre.
Bill is survived by his sister and her family and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be missed.
