In Memoriam: Elizabeth Ferrell

It is with sadness ATPAM announces the passing on May 13 of Gold Card Press Agent Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Ferrell in Los Angeles, CA.  Sister Ferrell was 90 years old and had been a member of ATPAM since 1956. She moved to Los Angeles in the 1950’s where she worked at the Sol Hurok Agency.  She represented many of the great talents of the day, among them pianists Artur Rubinstein and Van Cliburn, the dancer Rudolf Nureyev and the mezzo soprano Janet Baker.  After retiring from the Hurok Agency, Betty went to work at El Camino’s South Bay Center for the Performing Arts as booking and promotion manager.  She loved to travel, both here in the United States and abroad.

Funeral services will be private.  Donations in Betty’s name may be made to Westside German Shepherd Rescue, 2721 Wigtown Road, Los Angeles, CA 90064.
