Last week Susan Elrod and Barbara Carroll decided to visit fellow ATPAMers Brooke Smith’s and Eric Paris’ sandwich food truck in Red Hook, “United Sandwiches of America”. It’s an easy ferry ride and then a short walk down to the tip of Red Hook for a delicious and unique lunch and a glorious view of the Statue of Liberty. There’s also a brewery, wine cellar and Key Lime Pie shop right in the same area. A perfect afternoon! (The sandwich truck is open Wed–Sun for breakfast and lunch. Only caveat – there’s not much shade.)
