APPRENTICE PRESS AGENT PROGRAM GUIDELINES
The Apprentice Press Agent Program
is a two-year program beginning each Labor Day. To apply, the applicant must
submit the following information to the Union by August 31st:

a letter of
intent;
-
a resume;
-
a letter of
request from the sponsoring Senior Press Agent;
-
at least one (1)
letter of recommendation; and
-
a fully executed
contract for a Broadway, Off Broadway or Road show.
The criteria for admission include
at least one year’s experience in a Broadway Press Office or one year’s
experience in a similar theatrical office.
There may be if needed, an interview between the applicant and the Apprentice
Press Agent Committee.
At the time of admission into the program, a non-refundable registration fee of
$250.00 is due. Upon membership, this fee will be credited toward any amounts
due.
A series of seminars will be held usually the first Monday of each month from
September through May. (See Apprentice

For each seminar attended the Apprentice will receive a $100.00 credit towards
the ATPAM initiation fee (total credits capped at $1000) after successful completion of the
program.
Any Apprentice who fails to complete the program within three consecutive
seasons (Labor Day to Labor Day) will be removed from the program.
