ATPAM: News: HL0201A

NOTICE TO MEMBERS

Tax Time Alert!

Did you know that all dues and fees you paid to ATPAM during the past year are tax-deductible?

That's right. The following payments to ATPAM are tax deductible as expenses on your Schedule "A" when filing a form 1040:

  • Annual Membership Dues
  • Weekly Working Dues
  • Initiation Fees

These amounts are subject to the 2% exclusion rule, as are most un-reimbursed employee expenses.

To assist you in preparing your 2001 income tax, ATPAM can provide you with the total amount of dues, fees and fines that were posted to your account with the Union during calendar year 2001. If you would like to receive this information, please email your request to tsanchez@atpam.com.

Please note this information will be provided to you as a service by the Union for your convenience, solely for the purpose of helping you to verify your own records. However, providing correct information to the IRS when filing your taxes is your responsibility. The Union disclaims any liability for information provided by members to the IRS as part of their personal tax filings.
