ATPAM and Off-Broadway League
in Contract Renewal Talks

The MBA for Off-Broadway is set to expire on June 30, 2001. The League of Off-Broadway Theatres and Producers and ATPAM have scheduled two dates for contract negotiations. The parties will meet at the offices of the Theatre Communications Group on Tuesday, June 5, 2001 and subsequently on Tuesday, June 12, 2001. TCG has graciously offered the use of its conference room as a neutral location for the bargaining sessions.

If negotiations continue beyond the expiration date of the current agreement, ATPAM will hold all bonds to secure any retroactive increases due members employed on Off-Broadway productions as of that date.

ATPAM’s negotiating committee has been meeting regularly to formulate and discuss the Union’s proposals. That committee is chaired by Bob Reilly (Manager) and includes Laura Heller (Manager), David Gersten (Press Agent), Barbara Carroll (Press Agent), Nick Kaledin (Manager), Theresa Von Klug (Field Representative). ATPAM President Maria A. Somma and Secretary-Treasurer, Gordon Forbes are ex-officio members of the committee.

The committee representing the Off-Broadway League includes Ben Sprecher (The Sprecher Organization), Terry Byrne (Westside Arts Theatre), George Forbes (Lucille Lortel Theatre), and Jonathan Pollard (Producer, I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE)

Updates on the progress of negotiations will be featured on this site.
