In
1928, ATPAM received a charter directly from the American Federation of
Labor (AFL) and began its mission of actively and creatively contributing
to the success of American theatre. In
1994, with the belief that there is strength in unity, ATPAM
overwhelmingly decided to affiliate with the International Alliance of
Theatrical and Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and
Allied Crafts of the United States, Its Territories and Canada, AFL-CIO,
CLC. (IATSE). By
working together with all of organized labor in the entertainment
industry, it is our goal to ensure the betterment of the working lives of
our members and to collectively give our talent to the magic that is
theatre. |
